Last week, Johnny Depp’s estranged wife Amber Heard filed for divorce. Heard alleged in court documents that Depp abused her multiple times during the span of their 15 month marriage. She also posted a picture of his most recent act of violence, claiming that Depp “wound up his arm like a baseball pitcher and threw the cell phone at me striking my cheek and eye with great force.”
Police quickly investigated but apparently found “no evidence of any crime.”
While some were quick to come to Heard’s defense, others remained skeptical. For starters, Heard was tagged in a picture the day after, smiling with her friends. Her hair conveniently covered half of her face, and the picture was quickly taken down.
Interesting, that.
Of course, Depp’s reps deny her accusations, calling it “salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.” And then Depp’s ex-wife, Lori Anne Allison, came to his defense. She said the man she married “would have never assaulted a woman as he has been accused of doing by Amber Heard.”
Depp’s friend, comedian Doug Stanhope has rushed to his defense and offered some more insight into the (ex) couple’s entire relationship. The minute he heard her accusations, he “knew it was bulls***t.”
Stanhope said that he and his girlfriend Bingo were at Depp’s house just before the alleged assault happened, and immediately noticed his sullen mood.
The couple had assumed it was because the actor’s mother had passed away the day before, but said Depp revealed he was also concerned about Heard.
‘He opened up in the most vulnerable of ways,’ wrote Stanhope. ‘That Amber was now going to leave him, threatening to lie about him publicly in any and every duplicitous way if he didn’t agree to her terms.’
‘Blackmail is what I would imagine other people might put it, including the manner in which he is now being vilified.’
He went on to say that Heard is basically a “manipulative a**hole,” and it was like that before she and Depp were married.
‘We’d watched it build like this before they were married,’ Stanhope wrote. ‘We’d watched her manipulate and f**k with him for years.’
‘We have watched Amber Heard f*** with him at his weakest,’ Stanhope wrote. ‘Or watched him at his weakest from being f****d with for the entire time we’ve known him.’
Legal experts say Heard could get a whopping $20 million in a divorce settlement.
Again, this is Hollywood we’re talking about, so you never really know. Evidence suggests Heard is a sniveling lying hag, but I could be wrong. This is Hollywood, after all. It could go either way.
