New Poll Out Of California Shows Good News For Donald Trump

California doesn’t vote until June 7, but so far, so good for the Republican frontrunner.

According to a new poll, Donald Trump is expanding his lead over Texas Senator Ted Cruz, garnering 41 percent of the vote to Cruz’s 23.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Be sure to keep this in mind. While California has 172 delegates at stake, it’s more like New York. It’s winner-take-all by district, although a candidate doesn’t need to reach a 50 percent threshold to obtain all of a district’s delegates.

But a lot can change over the course of a month. Heck, last month’s poll showed Cruz just one point behind Trump.
