The best part about awards shows? Not watching them and then finding the highlights the next day.
I hadn’t heard of Jacob Tremblay before today, though I knew there was a movie based on the book Room that was going to be up for all kinds of awards. The story’s about a woman who was kidnapped and gave birth to her young son and the room they were kept in is everything he’s ever known. It’s one of those books that I keep meaning to read because it does sound interesting, but it’s also one of those books (and now, movies) that I’m going to have to be in the right frame of mind before reading it.
That being said – Jacob won the award for Best Young Actor at the Critics Choice Awards last night and his acceptance speech is ALL KINDS OF ADORABLE –
