Daisy here. It’s been a few months since we’ve chatted on a personal level. In fact, we don’t do that much out here in COTR-land, and now that the Big Site Change of 2015 has gone down and y’all are getting way more content from our two new awesome writers on a daily basis in addition to Mock and my four posts a day, it’s just not priority to discuss things like my back pain.
I mean, who wants to hear about my back pain? I certainly don’t.
But in the past few months, I’ve indeed had severe pain, I’ve been to a variety of docs and I’ve been poked and prodded and tested, and as it turns out, I have had a broken back for quite some time. I have spondylolisthesis, in addition to some degeneration of my spine due to years of being athletic and whatnot (I should’ve been sedentary and eating Twinkies all these years – WHO KNEW?). So tomorrow, I’m going to go treat myself a spinal fusion.
I’m getting surgery on a Saturday, y’all – how’s that for American convenience, huh?
The good news is that I’m going to get my spine rebuilt. Plus, I think the hospital will have pain meds. So there’s that.
The bad news is that I’ll be of work for a few days and not writing and generally not at all knowing what’s going on in the world, really. The other fine Chicks are going to be holding down the fort, and I’ll be absent at least for about 4-5 days, give or take. But then I’ll be back, and Mock says I’ll be bionic.
Lord, I hope they make me bionic.
Anywho, I’ll be off the air on our radio show for two weeks, and I thought it was something I needed to tell our web peeps as well, just in case y’all were wondering if I’d been kidnapped by Hillary Clinton staffers, since they’re apparently trying to silence people who make fun of her now.
I assure you, I haven’t been kidnapped. I’m just off to go become bionic.
As you were.
