October 23, 2015GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! (No, I’m being legitimately serious here) Ben Carson is DOMINATING the polls in Iowa!
According to this, new polling data shows that Ben Carson is the favorite Republican candidate among likely Iowa voters. His supporters are sure that he’s their first pick and people feel like he connects to them on a personal level. And (as we’ll see in a bit) that has to make Donald Trump not very happy –
Carson’s support has jumped 10 percentage points since the last Iowa Poll in August, and Trump’s has fallen 4 points. This shift to a new pack leader is a thunderclap in the Republican presidential race.
“Donald Trump’s got a real problem,” GOP strategist Alex Castellanos told the Register. “Ben Carson is now the favorite to win Iowa.”
Asked which candidate they’d like to see drop out of the race, if anyone, more caucusgoers (25 percent) name Trump than any of his 14 rivals. And among both moderates and caucusgoers ages 44 or under, 36 percent would like him to quit, noted J. Ann Selzer, the pollster for the Iowa Poll.

The Trumpster wasn’t too pleased about Ben Carson taking over his frontrunner status, though. He even went so far as to insult the intelligence of Iowa voters with this retweet saying that Iowans’ brains are affected by eating too much biotech corn. But you know, he’s just “Telling It Like It Is.” Isn’t that right, Stormtrumpers? –
Yes, a later tweet blamed the insult on an intern. But come on – do you REALLY think a guy like Donald Trump gives control of his Twitter feed over to an intern? I don’t for one second think that was an intern doing that.
Regardless – Ben Carson’s up in the polls! And things just got THAT much more interesting.
