Liberals Are Ticked Off At Candace Cameron Bure For Saying The SAME THING That Lena Dunham Said

Okay, liberal feminists – you want to play this game, you’re going to get an earful about it.

So, Candace Cameron Bure is now a co-host of The View, right? And she and her fellow co-hosts were talking about Lena Dunham’s much-publicized exit from Twitter. If you recall, Dunham made a big deal out of it, saying that Twitter was no longer a “safe space” and that the negative and harassing comments she got were akin to being raped.

Back to Candace and The View – Candace actually AGREED with Lena’s decision to leave Twitter –

After Candace said that on the show, the hellhounds of Twitter pretty much proved her right –

I really hate to burst these liberals’ bubbles (actually – no I don’t), but it sounds like what Candace is describing is the EXACT SAME THING that liberal feminist darling Anita Sarkeesian whined about at the U.N. when she presented a whole bunch of studies about how “cyber-violence” is a real thing and the United Nations needs to start policing the Internet because, yeah – THEY’RE going to be able to do anything about jerks on the Internet (never mind that most of the “studies” Sarkeesian and her associates used to make their case were poorly researched and the citations were less-than-reputable and the whole thing made the U.N. look even dumber than they already do). Mock and Daisy even talked about in their IndyStar column this week –

Anita Sarkeesian, a feminist activist who has made cyberviolence against women her pet cause, spoke at the U.N. event, going so far as to suggest that making a comment like “You suck” to a woman online is an example of cyberviolence.

If that’s the case, it’s a wonder we “Chicks” are still standing. Because according to that definition, we’ve been seriously violated. Like, a lot. Look no further than the comment section of some of our IndyStar columns.

Once again, feminists make themselves look like delicate, helpless flowers who cannot withstand the slightest criticism online without tattling to the United Nations.

Basically, lying beastly seahags like Lena Dunham and Anita Sarkeesian can sit there and cry about how they’re so abuse and picked on and cyber-bullied on Twitter and compare it to being raped. Liberals rush to their defense and coddle them and give them a blankie and a bottle and say “There, there – we’ll keep those EEEEEVIL misogynistic, patriarchal straight white men from ‘raping’ you over the Internet” (I mean, Sarkeesian took her stompy-footed-toddler act all the way to the freaking United Nations to make THEM stop people on Twitter from saying that she is a sucktastic little hosebeast.) But Candace Cameron Bure says that she’s been harassed and threatened over social media and – because she’s a conservative Christian woman – she’s dismissed and laughed at for being “too controversial” and “exaggerating” her claims. Because – feminism is ALLLLLL about defending women from misogynistic attacks. Unless it’s a conservative and/or a Christian woman. Then – HA! – you’re on your own!

The thing that liberal feminists don’t seem to understand (because the mainstream culture has sheltered them from this – we conservative women have learned otherwise) is that if you put your opinion out there on a regular basis, you’d better be ready for some nasty responses. I know Mock and Daisy have gotten plenty of disgusting hate mail and they laugh at it (Wall of Shame, anyone?) I’ve certainly gotten my fair share of that garbage and I’ve had to learn to ignore it (and certainly not to mention specifics to any of my friends or family – suffice it to say my boyfriend was not happy when I told him about one of those emails someone sent me. Personally, I thought it was funny. Strangely enough, he wasn’t laughing). I doubt that anyone rushing to Lena Dunham’s or Anita Sarkeesian’s defense would give a flying flea turd about someone saying terrible things to us Chicks. True to expectations, none of them have. Which is fine – I don’t need their pity.

If nothing else, it further proves that liberal feminism is a total hypocritical joke.
