Armed Air Force veteran John Parker was on Umpqua Community College’s campus during Thursday’s deadly shooting. At the time, Parker, who has his concealed carry permit, was in the campus Veteran’s Center (about 200 yards from where the shooting took place). He and other veterans were ready to take action, but the school’s staff stopped them.
“Immediately the staff — the school staff stopped us and told us to get inside the building,” he said.
When will people learn? The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
