Anti-Gun Nuts Are At It Again, This Time Attacking…Emojis?

It doesn’t matter how many times we prove that gun control isn’t effective. Liberals close their eyes, stick their hands over their ears and go “la la la I can’t hear you!”

What’s more, liberals don’t only want to ban real, actual guns, but fake guns– guns that are in emoji form.

I’m not even kidding.

The anti-gun group New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (NYAGV) actually started a campaign to encourage Apple to get rid of the gun emoji for all of eternity.

“We thought this was a way to bring attention to the issue [of gun violence],” said NYAGV executive director Leah Barrett.

Of course, the campaign wouldn’t be complete without a hashtag.

Because the gun only represents violence and hate. Never mind the fact that it’s CRIMINALS committing these crimes, not law-abiding citizens. And never mind the whole Second Amendment. That’s so old school.

Tweet Apple’s CEO @Tim_Cook and ask to have the gun emoji removed. And by removing the gun emoji, we’ll show America wants stricter access to real guns.

Ah yes. Just what we needed. Another symbolic gesture. I’m so over this symbolism crap. Forget getting to the root of the problem. Let’s attack an emoji on a phone. That’ll do the trick.
