What Happens When A Holocaust Survivor And A Former Nazi Guard Meet?

This is one of the most inspirational things I've seen in a long time.

Eve Mozes Kor survived the Holocaust over seventy years ago and is currently testifing against Oskar Groening, who is on trial for his role as a guard at a Nazi concentration camp. During the trial, the two met up and their meeting was one of forgiveness and healing and goodwill. Here is what Kor wrote about the meeting on her Facebook page –

Beautifully spoken – completely heartfelt. I love it! Forgiveness doesn't mean that justice isn't served, but it does play a role in the healing process – for both the victim and the perpetrator.

If these two can have a reconciliation (of sorts) so many years later, there is hope for the rest of the world.
