Prince Charles and Camilla (I think she goes by the Duchess of Cornwall, but I kinda don't care) have been in the States to do whatever it is that royals do when they come to visit the States.
According to this, Charles ended their tour yesterday in Kentucky by yapping about how icky capitalism is. Nice. I guess monarchies are cool, especially when you're at the top of the heap. But capitalism? Not so cool.
He said that capitalism has "enormous shortcomings."
He told the audience:
“We are standing at a moment of substantial transition where we face the dual challenges of a world view and an economic system that seem to have enormous shortcomings, together with an environmental crisis – including that of climate change – which threatens to engulf us all.”
How lovely of Prince Charles to take time away from hanging out in one of the gazillion royal residences to insult the American economic way of life. Because you just KNOW his family made all their wealth from hard work. And all their residences are green. And his opinions are supposed to matter to all of us, because he's in a job simply due to the fact that the dude in the slot above him in his family tree kicked the bucket.
No shortcomings there at all, dude.
