British boob Russell Brand– the filthy rich celebrity who lectures us on evils of capitalism and filth of profit– is officially on Prospect magazine's 50-strong World Thinkers 2015 shortlist. Prospect magazine actually describes him as “the spiritual leader of Britain’s disaffected anti-capitalist youth.”
I’ll let that sink in for a second.
Yes. Russell Brand. The man who makes pathetic YouTube videos in his spare time condemning Fox News, conservatives and capitalism while sitting in his bath tub filled with a bazillion dollars. He’s up there in the ranks with English writer Hilary Mantel and Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
I wonder if Brand realizes that he wouldn’t even be relevant if it weren’t for capitalism. Honestly, I don’t know how he’s famous. He’s not funny, attractive or talented. He’s an insane egomaniac fascinated by his own by his own intellect. He’s the same guy who said ISIS needed “justice, tolerance and compassion.”
He also offered this nugget of “wisdom” about bombing them:
“Don’t think of a bomb as going down there and destroying stuff. Think of it– it’s like a seed that goes into the ground and grows insurgents out of it.“
Even Prospect magazine's managing editor Jonathan Derbyshire thought something was up with his nomination. “His [Brand's] nomination was the cause of one of the more lengthy and intense discussions.”
Ya think?
No words. If you can stomach any of Brand’s delusional videos, congratulations. You clearly have a stronger stomach than me.
If you need me, I’ll be over here. Weeping for humanity.
