Oh Look! Planned Parenthood IS All About Abortions. And Making A HUGE Profit Doing It.

You know what I find amusingly frightening?  When liberal women shriek that Planned Parenthood is all about women's preventative care.  Especially amusing is when they say that PP provides mammograms.  Obama's actually said that, too.  PP doesn't provide those at all, so that's a big ol' lie.  And that's amusing to me, because liberal women are supposed to be the informed, intellectually superior group of females, right?  And it's frightening, because Planned Parenthood is nothing but a money-making machine with a very distinct business plan centered around baby-killing that also happens to get taxpayer money.  So that pisses me off. Because I don't like any of my money going to Planned Parenthood.  Especially when this country is broke.  Even if you put morality aside, it's bad business.  (But government doesn't know a damn thing about good business, so I know I'm wasting my breath here, but I'm going to go ahead and post about it anyway…)

Yes – PP provides some contraception and they screen women for cancer, sure.  But their cash flow comes from killing humans that people don't want, folks.  You can argue with me all you want, but their business model is pretty simple if you know anything about business models.  They just put out their latest annual report, and while "the abortion rate may be declining across America, (it's) not in Planned Parenthood clinics,” said SBA-List president Marjorie Dannenfelser in a statement regarding the report. “Their latest annual report is fresh evidence that Planned Parenthood remains an abortion-centered, profit-driven business.”

On the last day of 2014, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) released its 2013-2014 annual report, revealing an uptick in abortions performed and a drop in both contraceptive and cancer prevention services.

According to its annual report, Planned Parenthood performed 327,653 abortions in 2013, up from its 327,166 performed in 2012. SBA-List states that, over the past three years, the abortion giant has performed nearly one million abortions.

Of course, they don't want you to pay so much attention to the abortion part of their booming business model, so they try to distract you with STD and contraception information, even though that stuff dropped percentage-wise this past year.  Abortions made up 94% of PP's "pregnancy services" this year.  Prenatal care made up 5%, and adoption?  A teeny tiny 0.5%.  That's it.  And their cancer prevention services?  They fell 17% last year.  Quite the drop, especially when you read this…

What are they raking in overall?  Planned Parenthood reported revenue in excess of $127 million, and over $1.4 billion in net assets.

That isn't a mom and pop business.  That is a MACHINE.  A money-making machine.  No wonder they hate women like us who question why taxpayer money needs to be a part of that equation at all, and why abortions need to be such a pivotal part of their business.  

Abortions ARE their business.  The data speaks for itself.  

On a side note, just to irritate the people who wear t-shirts that say stuff like, "I blindly support Planned Parenthood, because celebridiots told me to," here's a question for those folks:  If the method to end these baby's lives was a gun instead of a pair of scissors to the spinal cord, would you still support funding?
