After getting about 3 total hours of sleep over the past 48 hours, there was no way I could stay up last night to watch the election results, but I think that just made getting up this morning that much sweeter.
I am dying to see a video statement from Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I mean, I know she won her own election, because clearly her district is filled with complete morons. But I want to hear her reaction to the results overall, because HOLY SMACKDOWN.
So so so delighted that Mia Love won, that Elise Stefanik won, and that Jodi Ernst. That WAR ON WOMEN is obviously in full swing, huh? Delighted that Scott Walker kept his seat, that Illinois has a Republican governor, that Alison Lundergan Grimes lost BIG (not that I'm a huge McConnell supporter), and that Michelle Nunn lost.
The GOP added at LEAST 12 seats to the House, and took the Senate, and the votes are still coming in a few key states.
Exit polls show that people don't see our country moving in a good direction, and that people are most concerned about the economy. BECAUSE HELLO.
Republicans are now looking at having their largest majority since 1946, and they better get FREAKING BUSY putting this country back on right track.
There are Republican governors in Maryland and Massachusetts now, y'all. I mean, that's just totally amazing.
But it wasn't all good news. Scott Brown lost to Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire. Al Franken is still a Senator. Mary Landrieu didn't TOTALLY lose, and now faces a runoff in December.
Other than that? The elephants stomped all over those asses donkeys.
And I'm going to really savor my morning coffee. ![]()
