Poor Clay. He doesn't know what's going on with that whole VA Scandal thing, even though Fort Bragg is in his district and he's wanting to represent the good people of North Carolina as a freaking CONGRESSMAN IN THAT STATE.
Never mind all that, though, because his Daddy was a jerk, so he should totally be a Congressman, ya'll.
Anywho. Apparently, Aiken's brother served "two tours of duty in Iraq and (NBC's Savvanah Guthrie) assumed that Aiken was following the scandal in which at least 40 veterans died while waiting for medical care after being put on a secret wait list at a VA hospital in Phoenix, Arizona."
The conversation went down like this:
"I’m sure you’re following what’s happening with the scandal at the Veterans Administration, with the delays in treatments for vets," Guthrie assumed. "Do you think Eric Shinseki, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, should resign?”
Aiken seemed like he was caught a bit off guard and said, “I don’t know, but I mean, I think we have a lot of people who are making decisions without being in the room."
Mmmmmkay.
In his defense, though, he's probably been WAY too busy sending out tweets like this one he sent out (and then scrubbed, of course) back in October of 2012 (hat tip Soopermexican):

WAR ON WOMEN!!!!
And this one, because liberals and their compaaaaaaaaassion – you know:

And in addition to not knowing jack squat about current events – come to find out – he's also an economist, too! YAAAAY!

And here's a bunch more that you can look at – that he also deleted. Because he's a serious congressional candidate now.
Where's Ruben when you need him?
For the record, I'd really like for him to take a swing at Ann and see what happens. Seriously. Because we ALL know who'd win that (non) fight, Clay.
