There there, minions. Obama's got it aaaaall under control.
In a recent interview with George Stephanopolous, Obama said, "We don't have an immediate crisis in terms of debt. In fact, for the next ten years, it's gonna be in a sustainable place."
OMG.
So, if you're a liberal, you look at that statement and probably think, "SEE? See conservatives? You're making mountains out of molehills! You're totally exaggerating how bad stuff is! America is nowhere near going bankrupt! Money will continue to fall out of the sky in a glorious shower of redistributed wealth for years to come!"
If you're a conservative with Actual Brains, you look at that statement and think, "Holy sh*t. We are basically going to be OUT OF FREAKING MONEY within a decade, and Obama is totally making light of it."
In fact, Obama seems relatively convinced that agreement about how to resolve the debt crisis will simply not happen due to amount of daylight between Republican and Democratic approaches. But his view on that? Whatevs.
He said, "That won’t– that won’t create a crisis. It just means that we will have missed an opportunity."
Ohhhhh. THAT's all that silly unsustainability stuff is. A missed opportunity. Phew! Crisis averted.
So sleep easy, folks! We're in the clear for TEN WHOLE YEARS. It doesn't matter that after that, all hell will break loose. Obama won't be in office then, so what does he care?
GAWD.
