You Know Who I Hate?

I hate sleazeball lawyers who agree to take on cases like the one described in this sourcelink.

Picture this.  A 30 year old dude by the name of Sam Cutrufelli (pictured above) decides he’s going to break into the home of a 90 year old man named Jay Leone (pictured below – looking freaking AMAZING for age 90), hold a gun to his head, bind up his hands with a belt, and rob him.  Jay manages somehow to break free of the belt, and convince Sam he needs to use the restroom.  Once he gets there, he gets one of his five handguns, and returns to his bedroom to find Sam rummaging through the closet.  Sam turns, sees Jay with a gun, and uses his OWN gun to shoot Jay in the face.  Yes.  He shoots a 90 year old man in the face.

Somehow, Jay manages to fire back several times, landing one bullet in Sam’s back.  Sam is still able to get over to Jay, and hold the gun to his head one more time.  But there are no bullets left, so he flees.

Police find Sam a few blocks away from Jay’s house, bleeding in his car.  Sam tells them that he shot himself.

So that’s your background.  Now, here’s why I hate sleazeball lawyers.  Sam has now sued Jay, because he thinks Jay “negligently shot him” during the confrontation.  Not only that, but as a result of that shooting, Sam says that Jay caused him “great bodily injury, and other financial damage, including the loss of his home, and the dissolution of his marriage.”

That’s all JAY’s fault, you guys.  HOW DARE he shoot a burglar in his own home after his life was threatened?  HOW DARE he protect his own life and property?

And so, right here in the US, sharing the same good ole American air that we do, is an attorney who Actually Took Sam’s Case.   I wish I could personally kick that attorney right in the ballular area.

Meanwhile, Jay is all sorts of awesome.  When he was informed that he was being sued by his attacker, he said, “He’s the one who busted my door in.  I’ll just countersue him then.  That’s what I’ll need to do.”

YES, Jay.  Do that, and then shoot him the ballular area.  Him and his stupid sleazeball lawyer.
