The other day, NASA had to cancel the first all-female spacewalk due to a suit problem. Anne McClain was unable to participate because both women needed the same size space suit, and they only had one available. Because of that, Nick Hague took her place.
Feminists on Twitter completely flipped out and tried to use this as proof of sexism and the patriarchy and blah blah blah.
You can’t see me, but I’m rolling my eyes pretty hard right now.
I don’t know why they didn’t figure out what sizes they both needed before the entire launch, but it is what it is. It’s a simple error. It’s not the patriarchy at work. In fact, McClain made it abundantly clear that this was her suggestion.
That should calm everyone down, right? Wrong! Cue Hillary Clinton, who issued the absolute dumbest reaction of all time and space.
That’s so dumb, even for her. They can’t just *poof* make an extremely sophisticated suit and ship it up to her. That’s insane. NASA made the right call. Instead of delaying the entire project, they decided to listen to McClain and proceed.
People were quick to call Hillary out.
Try again, Hillary.
