MAGA is trending. Why? Because a group of young boys in MAGA hats harassed a Native American elder at the Indigenous Peoples March.
This march:
TODAY! The people of the nation, of all indigenous backgrounds & beyond, will march in honor of #indigenouspeople from around the world at the The Indigenous Peoples March. We’ll be posting our favorite signs – submit yours for a feature! –

Here’s where the controversy began:
A group of students from @CovCathColonels harassed & bothered this Native American protestor at the Indigenous Peoples March. Appalling.pic.twitter.com/bYCdxApcLG

Those boys were supposedly in the area for the March for Life. If that’s so, they should’ve stayed away from the other happenings in the area. It’ll just cause trouble, and it DID.
However, Laura Keener, the communications director with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington, released a brief statement at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday:
“We are just now learning about this incident and regret it took place. We are looking into it.”
Messages left with Covington Catholic Principal Bob Rowe and other school faculty members were not immediately returned Saturday.
The school’s website says students planned to attend the March for Life event, held Friday in Washington, D.C., the same day as the Indigenous Peoples March.
Here’s another video of these kids harassing this Native American protestor. The ignorance, the bigotry, is infuriating. This is not the future of this nation.

Covington Catholic High School, of Park Hills, Kentucky, advertises itself for “Educating Young Men Spiritually, Academically, Physically and Socially.”
Here are the types of young men it inflicts upon society: #ExposeChristianSchoolspic.twitter.com/VQY0Jaev2D

These pathetic cowards. If you’re gonna hide from people because you can’t accept the completely earned anger your students inspired at least take out the publicly viewable parts about how you’re educating young men “spiritually and socially.” pic.twitter.com/5bqojfMz64

Students from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky wearing #MAGA hats mocked an elder at the #IndigenousPeoplesMarch on the national mall. The Superintendent of Schools Diocese of Covington @supmikeclines was in DC with them.

That MAGA boy’s smug face annoys me as much as the smug faces of the idiot leftists who pull those kind of stunts every single day. It’s a bad look for the group. We DO NOT– I repeat– DO NOT condone bullying or bratty behavior. That should NOT be what we’re teaching our boys. Let’s make that crystal clear. I am, however, having a SERIOUS issue listening to the left’s pearl clutching. Their groups CONSTANTLY do far worse. Don’t get me wrong. That’s not an excuse for this. That doesn’t make this right. I’m just sick of their selective outrage.
The man in the video responded with his own video. He seemed really hurt by their calls to “build the wall.”

I’m not denying that he could be a sweet old man who didn’t deserve a bratty and disrespectful MAGA stare down, but I can’t sit here and pretend that his “these are indigenous lands” and “there was never supposed to be walls here” and “we never had a prison” spiel is reasonable, because that part is not.
Again– that has NOTHING to do with the MAGA boys’ display. It was uncalled for. I’d be upset if my kid was involved. Call me old school, but young people should NEVER go out of their way to disrespect elderly people, even if they disagree with them.
