I’ve done it. I’ve discovered the dumbest thing on the internet.
#ExposeChristianSchools was trending last weekend. As far as I could tell, there wasn’t some sort of specific issue that set the hashtag off. Liberals were just angry at Christian schools because they’re Christian schools. It KILLS them inside to know that some parents opt out of sending their kids to their almighty public schools, the bulk of which are nothing more than glorified “progressive” indoctrination centers.
I wrote a bit about Christian schools the other day. If you recall, libs were freaking out that Karen Pence was teaching at a Christian school again.
I wrote:
I went to a Christian school from the time I was in 4th grade until I graduated high school. I don’t know if my parents had to sign some sort of agreement, but I know they put me in a Christian school for a reason. They hated the public school atmosphere. When they sent me to a Christian school, I’m sure they were fully expecting the school to abide by the moral standards rooted in our Biblical faith. That’s kinda sorta the point.
I don’t even remember talking about stuff like homosexuality or transgenderism in school. (It wasn’t as “in your face” back then.) Our teachers and staff members just constantly drove the message of the LOVE of Jesus into our heads.
Parents send their kids to Christian schools because they want their kids out of the progressive brainwashing culture dominating our society. That’s all there is to it.
There is a right and wrong, but “progressive” ideology encourages that “you do you” culture. Proponents characterize those who oppose the “everything is permissible” culture as intolerant bigots.
Perhaps there are some Christians who haven’t been good representatives of Christ, but the truth is, there is a RIGHT and a WRONG. It’s not subjective. Truth isn’t subjective. It’s not attached to your feelings. You can say that, stand on it and raise your kids to know that and still love your neighbors as yourself.
This ridiculous outrage over Karen Pence teaching at a Christian school is yet another stunning example of how gross and disconnected the “progressive” culture truly is.
I knew libs hated Christian schools, but I didn’t realize just how MUCH they hated them. They don’t just hate that they’re instilling moral values in children. They hate that parents are able to CHOOSE to send their kids somewhere other than their precious public schools.
You know it’s true.
They can crap on it all they want. They can say that people who go to Christian schools are sheltered weirdos who don’t get “proper” educations, but they’re wrong. My parents, along with my schooling, instilled moral values in my heart, and that made me UNSHAKEABLE in college. That’s not a brag. It’s just what happened. Because of my upbringing, college professors couldn’t bully me into questioning my beliefs and values. Those were already solidified. My upbringing made me more aware of the blatant brainwashing happening before my eyes, and it emboldened me to speak up.
I’m was glad to see that the hashtag backfired. I wasn’t the only one with a good experience.
I went to a private Catholic school. They taught
AP classes, graduated every student, outperformed public schools and taught Christian values like loving thy neighbor. It set me up to do well in life. So, yes, let’s #ExposeChristianSchools

#ExposeChristianSchools I was surrounded by people who cared about me as a human being, not just a student. I got a top notch education that allowed me to graduate magma cum laude undergrad and w honors from law school. It wasn’t perfect, but there was a high standard and love.

The amount of stupid on this tag #ExposeChristianSchools is impressive. WOW. It’s fascinating how little people who claim to hate Christianity actually know about it.
We should pray for them, even if they’re assholes.

I credit a lot of my success today to the fact that I attended a Catholic school for most of my life. The lefts hatred of Christianity is disgusting and the fact that #ExposeChristianSchools is trending on Twitter is terrifying. https://t.co/d8GNAgrJxr

I was homeschooled through a private Christian academy. Of my fellow graduates I count 5 adoptive parents, >2 dozen serving in the military (2 fallen) and @PeaceCorps. We were taught selfless sacrifice, love of country (and EVERYONE), gratitude, etc. #ExposeChristianSchools

#ExposeChristianSchools? I went to a Christian school, got into dual enrollment and ended up graduating college a year early with values and morals that couldn’t be shaken. So yeah. “Expose” away.

“Expose” away, jerks.
UPDATE: The dude who started this hashtag is upset that I wrote about it and didn’t credit him for starting the hashtag, or something.
He basically claims that he’s a “survivor of a traumatizing Christian right education,” which is funny because I am too, I guess. Except, as I wrote above, it wasn’t traumatizing. But OBVIOUSLY, his experience means that all Christian schools are “bastions of bigotry.” You know. Because he didn’t like his experience.
Like I said. I went to a Christian school, and a BUNCH of people on Twitter hit back at his idiotic hashtag.
I’d also like to point out that I literally wrote “If you recall, libs were freaking out that Karen Pence was teaching at a Christian school again” right after that. So I assumed that was the tipping point. I guess he didn’t read far enough.
Anyway, that’s Chris. Everyone say hi to Chris.
