My guilty pleasure starts back up this Monday. Yes yes. I’m talking about “The Bachelor.” It’s such entertaining trash, but I’d like to think that it’s a “classier” trashy show than, say, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” I don’t watch that. I’m not THAT bad.
This year’s bachelor is…Colton Underwood. He’s a former football player, but the *big* detail about him that ABC is pushing is…his status as a virgin. They act like he’s an alien or something. Even he admitted it’s a bit much.
“Is it overplayed? Absolutely,” he said. “But it’s one of those things that, I think, looking back at my time on ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘Paradise,’ that’s really all anybody knows about me.”
“It is something that I can definitely make light of, and I can have fun with,” he continued. “And I enjoy having fun with it, but it does have a serious side to it, and they know that as well, and they respect it.”
I’ve watched Colton on other seasons. He’s cute and buff, but he seemed kind of immature and insecure on the other shows, which was a total turn off. Also, no matter how great a person on any of these shows seems, you HAVE to know that SOMETHING is slightly wrong with them, because, well, THEY’RE ON THE SHOW. You gotta be a little screwy to do that.
ANYWAY. They’ve been teasing some promos for the show. On Monday, they’ll show the classic intro episode, where chicks get out of the limo and introduce themselves to Colton. They typically try to do corny and weird things to grab the bachelor’s attention.
This is a new one. This chick is faking an accent.
Is this lie going to take her down (under)? #TheBachelor pic.twitter.com/OrHrathRYJ

I will say that she was sneaky in her response. She didn’t technically lie. He asked her where she was from and she said, “The accent, it’s Australian.” She wasn’t all, “I’m from Australia.”
just watched a video of The Bachelor and this girl named Bri put on a FAKE Australian accent to “stand out” and I can’t stop watching it and laughing

I hope she makes it all the way to the end without revealing the truth…and then he meets her family. 🤣

That’s the worst Aussie accent I’ve ever heard but okay

The fact that she was so quick to say the ACCENT was Australian rather than lie and say she was from Australia is so brilliant that we have no choice but to stan this icon! https://t.co/97FXBzfqG9

I can just imagine all of the shallow women that are going to be on this season…

Get ready. There are going to be SO MANY people to dislike. I’m very much looking forward to it, as you can tell.
