It’s official. Two of the swampiest creatures known to MSM– Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski– got hitched.
Word has it they only had a handful of guests, including their kids. They got married in the National Archives building rotunda, right in front of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights. (I’ve been in there. It’s cool, but I never thought, “Wow. Great place to get married!” It’s really dark in there, for obvious reasons.)
Go ahead and guess who officiated the wedding.
…..
Are you ready for this?
Representative Elijah Cummings. The same delusional Elijah Cummings who once claimed that government workers knowingly sacrifice pay and work for the government in order to “feed their souls.” They only care about the good of others, you see? Not kidding. During a speech at the Legislative Conference of the National Treasury Employees Union a few years ago, he said, “People do not seem to understand that so many people come to government knowing that they are not going to make the kind of money that they would make in the private sector but they come to government to feed their souls.”
He really expects us to believe that he and his Dem colleagues are in this for other people. Hilarious.
ANYWAY. He officiated the wedding.
“We wanted it to be really small and simple and not what you expected from Mika and Joe,” Brzezinski said, according to Vanity Fair. “Everything we do is exposed, and everything felt exposed every step of the way, so we want this to be private until it’s over. We wanted to recognize it more quietly and have the people who are most important to us around us. And you know, our show is a cocktail party every morning.”
While only 14 calls were made to people invited to witness the actual nuptials, the couple celebrated with 40 people after they got hitched.
‘We did an event there more than a year ago and we were just blown away, seeing all these documents and how we felt seeing them,’ Brzezinski told Vanity Fair about the room with 70-foot ceilings. ‘It makes sense now more than ever, given what we stand for as a couple, what we do for a living, and what we’re worried about as a country.’
I don’t buy any of their worry. They’re part of the problem. They’re part of the swamp.
Remember that one time Donald Trump offered to marry them? LOL– good times.
