If you’re a regular reader here, then you’ve noticed that I’m basically obsessed with the gubernatorial race in Florida. I just can’t believe than an Actual Socialist has a fighting chance. It hurts my heart.
Gillum has been consistently up in the polls, but not by a big margin. He’s up just ever so slightly.
But as I mentioned in another post, early voting turnout is UP in Florida. Republicans are eager, and DeSantis sounds confident. He spoke with Maria Bartiromo this morning.
“We’re not trailing in actual people who have voted Maria. We have more than half the vote has been cast. If you look at early and absentee votes Republicans are leading for the first time ever at this stage,” he said. “I mean Donald Trump was down 175,000 Republican votes going into election day in 2016. He won by about 175,000. We are going to be going into election day with Republicans in the first time in Florida history up going into election day.”
I don’t like making predictions, but my gut is telling me that DeSantis will pull this off.
Ugh. I hope my gut is right.
