This is awkward.
Chris Cuomo interviewed his brother, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, on CNN yesterday. During the interview, Andrew Cuomo suggested that his office received a potentially explosive “device.” #HimToo!
Just one problem. That’s #FakeNews. Cuomo’s office denied that it received a “device,” but Cuomo went on air anyway and told his bro a different story. WTH?
.@NYGovCuomo tells his brother, @chriscuomo, a new word may be needed to describe today's events:
"This is red versus blue terrorism… That we have never seen before. I think this President certainly missed an opportunity… He could have really stepped up and been the leader" pic.twitter.com/5jgZKYedTc

An NYPD official says the “suspicious package” at Cuomo’s office was in fact just an informational package containing literature, per @soniamoghe. https://t.co/OZHihNXQTk

The sequence of events:
1. Cuomo’s office denied reports it had received a suspicious package.
2. Cuomo announced on air that his office had received a “device.”
3. NYPD said the package in question was simply literature.— erica orden (@eorden) October 24, 2018
It’s a BOMB! It’s a DEVICE! It’s…literature.
This is from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's interview with Chris Cuomo earlier this afternoon.
The governor seems to suggest there was an "explosive device" inside the package sent to his office, which did not end up being true. (It was a flash drive, per NYPD.) pic.twitter.com/aTvAPW3H4s

The suspicious package sent to Andrew Cuomo appears to have been a false red flag. What a bizarre twist:
His office originally denied reports of receiving a suspicious package.
Then Cuomo says he received a "device."
NYPD now says the package was just an informational packet.

Gov. Cuomo says the package sent to his office has been removed, adding, “The building is safe. I’m going to go up and continue with my day, and that’s what every New Yorker should do.” pic.twitter.com/MQBYdOpvSl

I guess he just really didn’t want to feel left out.
