Joe Biden’s Take On John Brennan’s Security Clearance Drama Is Completely Idiotic

Former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance has been revoked. Old news, I know.

“Historically, former heads of intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been allowed to retain access to classified information after their government service so that they can consult with their successors regarding matters about which they may have special insights and as a professional courtesy,” Sarah Sanders said Wednesday. “Neither of these justifications supports Mr. Brennan’s continued access to classified information.”

I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on. Feel how you want, but PLEASE concede and admit that this has absolutely nothing to do with “free speech.” This is not a free speech issue, even though Brennan is desperately trying to turn it into that. Trump the Dictator wants to SILENCE him!

This narrative is utterly absurd. It makes Trump’s dissenters look hysterical and dumb. You’re not entitled to security clearance. With most– if not all jobs– that require special passes and badges, the employee RETURNS those before he or she leaves their position. This is normal in the real world.

But MUH FREE SPEECH! It’s what the left is going with. Even Joe Biden is on board.

In the time I have known him, John Brennan has never been afraid to speak up and give it to you straight. Revoking his security clearance is an act unbecoming of a President. If you think it will silence John, then you just don’t know the man.

Again, this isn’t about “silencing” John Brennan. We don’t have a “right” to security clearance. Brennan has been speaking freely. Nothing has compromised his ability to publicly display his rapidly progressing symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and this won’t stop it either.

Enough of the utter nonsense.
