Ookay. So there’s a lot to unpack here.
Basically, Silvia Park, a 49-year-old mother of a Female-to-Male transgendered person decided she thinks men who think they’re women should be able to give birth, so she donated her uterus.
This despite the fact that only ONE uterus transplant has ever been successful – and that was in a woman. Who- you know- was already “set up” to carry a baby, if you know what I mean.
Like… biological women born without a uterus still have the right hormones and an actual working birth canal, and you know… all that VERY IMPORTANT jazz.
Men who THINK they’re women don’t. No matter how much they WANT to. So I don’t really understand how people think shoving someone else’s uterus up in there (is there even a SPOT for it? No. No there’s not. Because MEN ARE NOT BUILT TO HAVE BABIES.) is going to work.
According to Daily Mail:
In December 2017, Park read about the first baby born to a woman who had a uterus transplant through Baylor University clinical trial for cis-gender women who didn’t have functioning uteruses.
That woman had been born without a uterus – a trait she shared with transgender women – and was therefore unable to carry her own children.
This planted the seed of an idea in Park’s head.
Ohhh no, Silvia. BACK. AWAY.
‘My mind wandered from this particular woman,’ Park said.
‘I thought, maybe this kind of procedure could help transgender women—people who transition from a male birth assignment—carry their own children.’
How… lovely.
Here’s a weird thought: the eggs attached to the implanted uterus would obviously not be the trans person’s own. So the only way this would be their biological child is if they froze their sperm before their sex change surgery, then impregnated THEMSELVES (or rather- the donated eggs that now live inside their male body) with their old frozen sperm.
This makes me WILDLY uncomfortable.
But f’real. Is this what we’re looking at in the future?
So far, nine live donor uteruses have been transplanted in Sweden, and another handful have been completed in the US.
Only one of those women has gotten pregnant and given birth. But again… women were BUILT FOR THIS. Where exactly would you put a uterus inside of a man? And what would it attach to? And how would the baby come out?!
THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
Despite the controversy, she knew exactly how she felt and what she wanted: ‘As a mother of two biological children and one stepchild, I’ve always believed that everyone should have the right to decide whether they want to carry a child, regardless of their gender. And I desperately wanted to contribute to the cause.’
“Everyone should have the right to decide whether they want to carry a child, regardless of their gender”
SO SHE AGREES? Trans “women” are men who should be able to carry babies “regardless” of their gender?
Additionally… this woman thinks men carrying babies is a “right.”
…Good LORD.
Additionally, this struck me as REALLY WEIRD:
Park says she and her transgender son haven’t discussed her uterus donation, but doesn’t doubt that he supports her just as much as she has supported him.
‘I don’t need him to tell me he’s proud of what I did. I like to think I would have done the same thing if I didn’t have a transgender child,’ Park said.
Wait… this woman DONATED HER UTERUS for “transgender rights” and hasn’t told her transgendered adult child who “inspired” it?
Like… that’s a pretty major surgery. She didn’t talk to her kid about it?
Something seems REEEEEALLY off.
(Something? I mean everything. Everything about this is WHACK.)
