Only in Florida.
Kimber likes to mock me for being, you know, a Florida native. I’ll admit that a LOT of weird stuff happens in Florida, but I’d ALSO like to note that the SUPER freaks aren’t in Northeast Florida. That’s my argument. In my area, we have “regular” weirdos, but nothing particularly extraordinary.
Unfortunately, this story doesn’t really help my argument.
Apparently, some total weirdo went into a convenience store in Jacksonville with an alligator. Now, if he went in with the alligator and minded his own business, that would be one thing. It’d still be messed up, but what he ACTUALLY did is even more horrific. HE CHASED SOMEONE.
The dude who did this has been identified as Robby Stratton.
He claims he doesn’t really remember the incident.
“I don’t even remember coming up here,” Stratton told WJAX Saturday. “This store sells some good liquor and I drank a lot of it that night.”
Stratton told WJAX that he found the alligator in the back of the truck.
WTH.
The good news? The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrested two people involved.
Robert Barr, 28, and Kevin Keene, 23, were both charged with first degree misdemeanors of illegal possession of an alligator, illegal exhibition of dangerous wildlife, and cruelty to animals.
Just to clear up any confusion, Robert Barr goes by Robby Stratton on Facebook.
Yep. #OnlyInDuval after all.
