“More kids are being separated from their parents and temporarily housed in what are essentially summer camps, or as The San Diego Union Tribune described them today, as basically looking like boarding schools,” Ingraham said Monday. “The American people are footing a really big bill for what is tantamount to a slow-rolling invasion of the United States.”

I know it sounds bad, but before you jump aboard the outrage train, stop and think this through.

The entire situation is less than ideal. Yes. But the truth is, these PARENTS have to bear some responsibility. They could easily stay together if they refused bring their kids across the border illegally in the first place, or they could’ve asked for asylum through a port of entry. They are the ones putting kids in these situations. They are making these choices.

The second big point? We’re not throwing kids in rusty cages and withholding meals. It’s sad, yes, but I’m willing to bet the living conditions in those centers are LOADS better than the sh*thole countries they came from. I always love when liberals say, “These people can’t go back to their countries! They’re dangerous and impoverished!” Weren’t those the same people who were mad at Trump for describing them as sh*tholes?

Take that as you will.

All I’m saying is, liberals (and some Republicans) can’t continue to compare these places to Japanese internment camps and expect the rest of us to sit around and accept that as fact.
