March 25, 2024Our lovely Senior-in-Chief has apparently decided to try his hand at political nicknames—and it’s as cringy as you would think.
Lame. And Democratic strategists seem to agree.
“One Democratic strategist told The Hill that ‘mimicking Trump has been done before and has never really worked.’
‘You can’t out-Trump Trump because he’s the original version. I would say they need to be more creative in producing their own original and unique strategy to bring him down a peg that shocks and awes,’ the strategist said.”
I’m not sure how Biden could ever achieve “shock and awe,” unless he was finally able to string together a coherent sentence. Now that would truly be shocking.
Trump has had his fair share of nicknames that have fallen flat (Ron DeSanctimonious comes to mind). But even when he doesn’t stick the landing, at the end of the day—it’s his thang.
Like the strategist said, “you can’t out-Trump Trump,” especially when you’re Biden. He should focus on not starting WWIII and avoiding stairs, IMO.
