ABC cancelled “Roseanne” over a crappy joke she made on the Twitter machine. Old news. None of us here condone the joke, but we all quickly realized this was a prime opportunity to point out the hypocrisy of the left. Joy Behar can make fun of Christians. Jimmy Kimmel can call Ted Cruz an ugly blobfish, and Samantha Bee can called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t.”
No repercussions. But a Trump supporter makes a garbage joke, and they want to burn her at the stake.
Double standards, man.
Even though ABC canceled the show, there’s a chance it may not be over for good. Part of the show may live on.
Word has it ABC is considering a “Roseanne” reboot, focusing on Sara Gilbert.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the powers that be at ABC are exploring the possibility of re-branding the show and focusing on the character Darlene instead of Roseanne.
We’re told Sara’s been calling cast members to gauge their interest in the event ABC gives the reboot the green light. We’re told John Goodman is “very interested.”
Our sources say Tom Werner, who produced “Roseanne” through his company Carsey-Werner, is involved in the effort to reboot the show around Sara.
What’s more … ABC is desperately trying to salvage the jobs of those who were affected by its swift decision to cancel the show earlier this week … especially for the writers and crew.
Does that mean they’d essentially kill off Roseanne? I mean, how else could the show live on? They can’t just pretend she never existed.
Guess we’ll see what happens.
Would you watch the reboot without Roseanne?
