March 23, 2018Lawmakers didn’t even have time to read the $1.3 trillion spending bill before voting on it, but it passed in both chambers anyway.
What does that say about the current state of affairs in Washington?
Most of us still only know the basics. Advocates of the bill say it provides some of what we want– more defense spending and money going to fight the opioid crisis. Truthfully, that’s not enough to offset the complete SUCK in the rest of the bill. There’s basically nothing for the wall, and someone– ANYONE– tell me why we’re still funding sanctuary cities and Planned Parenthood?
Cue Sen. Rand Paul. He got to work and put as much out there as he possibly could. I REALLY appreciate it. He’s actually DOING HIS JOB.
