It all started after Dick’s Sporting Goods announced that it would 1.) No longer sell “assault-style” rifles and 2.) No longer sell firearms to anyone under the age of 21.

A couple things to note. For starters, “assault-style” rifles aren’t A Thing. It’s a made up term liberals use to scare people. In addition, Dick’s hasn’t sold those weapons in its main stores for years.

Whatever. Dick’s got what it wanted. Liberals praised the retailer for make a “bold move.” Even celebrities jumped on board. Cue Kristen Bell.
Did you catch her completely ignorant statement? Her caption reads, “Here’s an example of something better than thoughts and prayers. Bravo, @dickssportinggoods for your common sense, humanity, open ears and willingness to change. We need more corporations like you. Thank you Ed Stack, CEO of @dickssportinggoods for protecting our kids.”
Better than prayers? Why is there a competition? Why is it either or? Why are you diminishing the power of prayer? Prayer is NOT useless. Sorry Kristen, but I’m willing to bet the majority of America would disagree with you.
Cue Candace Cameron Bure. She left a simple comment.
“How about instead of diminishing prayers (which are powerful), you re-caption ‘in addition to prayers’ here is something really great…”
Perfect. Lovely. Fine.
But NOOOOOOPE. Everyone piled on. They were all, “OMG CANDACE IS SENDING SO MUCH SHADE KRISTEN’S WAY RIGHT NOW OMG OMG!”
MSM is desperate for this to be some huge celeb feud.
Candace did nothing more than give a reasonable remark, because she’s a reasonable person. But we don’t live in a reasonable world.

This is insanity. They’re all missing the point. It’s not prayer OR action. You can do both. I pray AND hope that legislators wake up and realize that guns aren’t the problem. Creating more soft targets– that’s NOT THE ANSWER.
Prayer IS powerful. I know it. I’ve seen it. I’m with Candace on this one. I admire her so much for continuing to stand up for her faith in that hostile industry.
