People are still reeling over this.
As President Trump approached the end of his speech at CPAC Friday, he spoke about immigration and asked the crowd if they’ve heard him read “The Snake.”
I had no idea what he was talking about. I’ve never heard it, but I guess it was part of his schtick on the campaign trail. Because some of the crowd (including me) never heard it, he read it aloud again.

My first thought:
Story time with POTUS. Obviously this world needs an audio book of @realDonaldTrump reading nursery rhymes like, immediately. #CPAC2018 pic.twitter.com/ZOCLF4NOou

Trump nursery rhymes. It’s one of those things you’d either love or hate.
I was actually really amused by his story, because my dad told me a similar story when I was dealing with a horrid backstabbing “friend” in high school. She was awful, but for some reason, I tried to look past it and attempted to rekindle our friendship over and over again. She continued to treat me like crap, so my dad told me the story of the scorpion and the frog. Surely you’ve heard of it. Long story short, a scorpion asks a frog for a ride across a river. The frog is skeptical, but the scorpion assures him that he won’t sting him, because they’d both drown. The frog agrees and takes the scorpion across the river, and the scorpion ends up stinging the frog. When the frog asks why, the scorpion says, “because it’s my nature.”
That resonated with me, and from then on, I viewed her as a scorpion. We haven’t been friends for years. It honestly felt liberating.
I guess that’s why Trump’s little story made me smile. It brought back memories.
Anyway, libs are melting. They’re totally predictable.
He tells this tale at every rally. His supporters don’t realize he’s talking about himself. He is telling them exactly who he is and, just like the dumb person in the tale, his supporters just don’t get it. He’s the snake.🐍🐍🐍🐍

Trump is the snake. Conservative voters knew he was a bad man, and even realized he was an evil man…many said he was the lesser of two evils. So they voted FOR evil. In essence, he was the snake in the story he recited.
He is a disaster as a president.

(Interestingly, Trump doesn’t seem to realize that he’s the snake in the poem.)

Donald Trump recites ‘The Snake’ because that is what snakes do.

The only way to appreciate @realDonaldTrump read that gawd awful “The Snake” is to understand that he’s reading it to #Cult45 and he’s the snake…

So @realDonaldTrump you read The Snake when referring to immigrants. As a Jew I resent all your Nazi references. @GOP SAD
— Bruce Pressler (@brucepressler) February 23, 2018
Yeah, total Nazi. Everyone’s a Nazi. Yawn.
You’re the snake.

I also would like to tell Trump that he is the snake that America and the Russians let in. Then he bit the American people and spewed his venom of hate, bigotry, abuse, division, and lies etc. While you made some if us sick, we have a cure it’s voting u all out.
— Betty (@Betty20500208) February 23, 2018
Not only was it horrible, the “snake” story was pure racist bullshit.
— Annieb (@baustin64R) February 23, 2018
Yep. We’re all racists. Again, yawn.
This #CPAC2018 speech is like the campaign trail’s greatest hits—The Snake, Lock her Up, Build the Wall—all the boys are back in town.

surprise reveal: the snake was Trump.

You can say what you want about Trump, but it’s obvious to those who aren’t blinded by hate that he’s NOT a nasty, deceitful person. It’s simply not in his nature. He says it like it is. He says what we’re all thinking. MSM acts like MAGA people are a bunch of rubes, but we’re not. We’re patriotic Americans who love our country and its foundation with our heart and soul.
Trump may be rich and famous and POTUS, but I don’t sense any “I’m better than you” vibes. He truly respects ordinary Americans. MSM can’t stand that. They pretend to hate elitist snobs, but they are those people.
