Are Masks Coming Back?

While I refuse to believe that COVID-19 was a government-engineered plot to test the degree of its citizens’ willingness to comply (never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity), I think it’s obvious that they certainly jumped at the opportunity when it crawled out of a lab in Wuhan. And, if the headlines littering Twitter– I mean, X– are anything to go by, they’re angling for Round 2. 

As these tweets– I mean, posts– suggest, the response is. . . vitriolic, to put it lightly. As I imagine yours is, too– and that’s understandable. There has yet to be any accountability for the absolute sh*tshow we went through during the COVID pandemic, and many of the worst actors continue to applaud themselves for Literally Saving the World. 

That’s to say nothing of the timing– the next presidential election is just over a year away, and the Republican primary is well under way. (So is the Democrats’, though they prefer not to acknowledge it.) True, that may well be coincidental; it’s not as if the coronavirus has any comprehension of the foibles of man. But we’ve all been around the block already. For something that’s effectively not even a living thing, the virus is surprisingly convenient to a certain group of people. 

By the way, nothing of the sort is going on over here in the UK (yet– knock on wood). Just in case you were wondering if it might be political.

And the best part? The guy who saw it coming and warned us a week prior was none other than Alex “Gay Frogs” Jones. 

I know you don’t need to hear it from me, but I’m going to say it anyway: don’t comply, guys. Don’t do it.
