Almost everything wrong with society can be summed up by looking at one family: The Kardashians. I know you probably understand what I’m saying, but allow me to explain anyway.
I’m currently home in New England for Christmas. I was born and raised in Florida, but everyone outside of my immediate family lives in New Hampshire. My parents are New England natives. Every time I visit, I find myself wanting to live here on a more permanent basis. I LOVE seasons. I LOVE the Patriots and I LOVE being near family. There’s one other thing I really like: The I-Can-Do-It-Myself culture. People here are handier and more common sense. The young men especially. There’s a completely different mentality up here. People put less value in big, worthless elite college degrees. People are big on the trades, and quite frankly, there are far less douchey, selfie obsessed hipsters up here. I was joking with my sister about it the other day. We were like, “Who would you rather marry? A dude who knows how to plow a driveway and who can get a giant van up a slippery driveway in the winter or a dude who can draw a leaf on your latte?
Right now, I decided I want to marry a lumberjack and become a Christmas tree farmer and have a seasonal bake shop. #thedream.
ANYWAY. My point is, I hate the Kardashian-inspired culture. Everything’s about public perception. We have guys and gals who literally go to the gym specifically to do a Facebook live video of their bicep curls. It’s idiotic and vain. It’s so Kardashian. It’s not real.
Needless to say, I have a strict #NoKardashian product policy. I’m in love with lipsticks, but I refuse to buy Kylie Jenner’s lip kit. One time my sister accidentally bought a PacSun shirt that was from the Kendall/Kylie line, and I shamed her into never wearing it. Seriously. I highly advise against buying ANY of the women in your life Kardashian related products for Christmas. I see it as supporting a terrible family and terrible culture. So don’t buy this $360 Kylie Jenner makeup brush kit. That’s right. It’s $360.
I have developed for you guys the most amazing luxury brushes ever. I am very excited! Real brushes don’t compare to synthetic brushes. Different performance/quality/everything. I am 100% down to do an entire synthetic line in the future which will ultimately be cheaper.

True, she can charge however much she wants. But from the looks of it, her fan base is not amused.
okay but 360 dollars for 16 brushes is insane. i don’t care how “great” they are
— madison ☁️✌🏻 (@dolanftmongeau) December 10, 2017
She posted other expensive lines to compare prices and MAC has a 16 brush set for $140 cheaper 😂
— SuchALady (@RozlynVictoria) December 10, 2017
why come out with a product that’s too expensive for most of your customers to buy???? that’s stupid. ive bought many things from kylie, even though they’re pricey. i just think almost 400 dollars for brushes is insane
— madison ☁️✌🏻 (@dolanftmongeau) December 10, 2017
Tbh she already has so much money.. like you can cut your prices and stilllllll be making bank
— K-Savage (@KristinaBeLyke) December 10, 2017
$360 is outrageous for a brush set.
— Piper Sarah (@PiperLoop1) December 10, 2017
$490 before shipping for Australian customers 🤬
— Cass Anne (@cassie_Aussie) December 10, 2017
None of your fans have money like that… I’m going to wait for the reviews but I’m still it going to buy 16 brushes for 360’dollars. Kylie Cosmetics is not a luxury brand
— 💕 ◟̽◞̽ (@alterskam_) December 10, 2017
But she SOOOOO wants it to be. She thinks because her name is attached to it that it makes it so. HER NAME IS LUXURY OK.
I’m glad someone said this because im busting my ass daily just to make a living and she’s got everything handed to her.$360 is too much for me but it’s nothing to her 😂

— bella (@noahsbyer) December 10, 2017
I’m calling the police on anybody who spends $360 on Kylie Jenner’s makeup brushes.
— 🏆 (@poeticting) December 10, 2017
these things look like they’re made of the hair from my cats ass, i’ve seen better sets for like 20. without the caption i’d have thought these were some dollar store brushes

Girl the brushes look dope but I work two jobs and go to Nursing School full time and can still barely afford gas on a weekly basis. $360 is way, way too much. Honestly, even $100 is too much. — a message from your everyday college student

PS– look at this.
Who in their right mind would want a makeup bag with Kyle Jenner’s name on it????
Anyway, there’s one thing NOT to buy the lady in your life. You’re welcome.
