I’m honestly not sure what they thought was going to happen here. If you give a country more than 100B American taxpayer dollars-worth of military equipment (literal weapons of war) and other aid to help them fight a war against Russia, can you really be surprised or outraged when they actually use that military equipment or money to fight that war? Here’s White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responding to a question about alleged Ukrainian offensive military action within Russia. She insists that the Biden Administration has been “very clear” about the fact that they “do not support the use of, uh, US made equipment being used, uh, for attacks inside of Russia.” She reiterates how “clear” they’ve been in what sounds like a typical Kamala Harris word sandwich, insisting that they’ve been very clear–both privately clear and publicly clear–and they couldn’t be any clearer about how clear they’ve been on this issue.

Clear about what, exactly? That Ukraine isn’t allowed to actually fight a war against Russia using the weapons of war that we’ve sent them specifically to fight a war against Russia? Listen, I am against sending tens and even hundreds of billions of American taxpayer dollars to unbelievably corrupt Ukraine to fight an ill-advised proxy war with Russia rather than brokering peace. But we’ve already sent 10s-100s of billions in aid and military equipment (specifically all manner of weapons of war), so is she saying that they’re only allowed to use it defensively? They’re only allowed to fight half of the war with it? Seriously, what did they expect would happen? Did they really think Ukraine would be like, ‘Hey, I know we got this stuff and we could hit them back, but we actually have to wait for Russia to bomb us again before we can use this equipment that America so graciously donated to the cause.’ That just seems so bizarre. Mind you, I don’t condone targeting civilians, by Ukraine or Russia. I’m just saying, why are they acting surprised at this point? What did they think would happen here?

I still want to know how all this money flowing into Ukraine is benefiting politicians in Congress and the White House. For Democrats to suddenly be all in on practically unlimited military spending (albeit not for OUR military, of course), there have to be some kick-backs coming to someone somewhere, right? What’s the Big Guy’s cut from all this spending, I wonder…
I still don’t know how Ukraine is “unbelievably corrupt”…
It matters not for Democrats are only ever held to the standard of intent. Blatantly obvious side effects can clearly be blame shifted to the secondary party as Democrats aren’t capable of thinking beyond the initial effect of their actions.
