Biden Says He “Got My Start” At HBCU Delaware State

Biden has claimed he’s done a lot of things that we all know he hasn’t done. But Biden is also a pathological liar who has lost his grasp on reality, so it seems he’s perfectly fine just spouting off whatever random thing pops into his head, regardless of whether or not it’s true. This also means we can’t ever trust what he says, and we’re left trying to guess at what he actually meant by what he said. And that’s the case for this statement about HBCUs. Today, while attempting to campaign for failing Florida Democrats, Biden told several lies, including repeating the one about his son dying in Iraq, which isn’t even close to true. But in an interesting statement, he declared, that “I’m a big fan of HBCUs. I got my start at one of those other HBCUs– Delaware State.”

There are 107 HBCUs and the only one in Delaware is Delaware State. But that’s not where he went to school. He went to the University of Delaware, which is a completely different school and NOT an HBCU. So the public is left wondering what he meant when he made this statement. Fact checkers at Reuters say that what he really meant was that he received support from Delaware State when he announced his first Senate bid back in 1972 on the university’s campus, and that he was not implying that he attended the university.

But that’s where we are these days with President Joe Biden. We all have to just try to guess at what he actually meant to say. They’re saying he didn’t mean he attended DSU when he said he “got his start” there, but who’s to say he just doesn’t quite remember which Delaware University he attended and thought it sounded good for the crowd to claim Delaware State? He does that kind of thing all the time. The New York Times even wrote an article about it. According to the New York Times, he’s just a folksy storyteller who sometimes exaggerates and embellishes.
