This quote exemplifies exactly the problem with Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman AND with sitting President Joe Biden. Fetterman said something that is pretty huge and consequential, but we don’t know if he actually meant it because he might not realize what he really said and he might have meant something else entirely. But he is mentally incapable of getting details right, keeping things straight in his mind, and coherently expressing his intended message. And that’s a huge problem for Americans and Pennsylvanians.
In the debate, Fetterman was asked whether the Supreme Court should be expanded, something that Democrats have recently been trying to do. Part of his response was the very clear statement, “I do not believe in supporting the Supreme Court.”

Y’all, that is HUGE. If he really doesn’t believe in supporting the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the third branch of the federal government, that is a HUGE deal. He’s basically undermining the legitimacy of an entire branch of the government, and that is extremely consequential for potential voters.
But the issue is that WE DON’T KNOW IF HE MEANT IT. Presumably, he meant that he does not believe in EXPANDING the Supreme Court. But that’s not what he said. Not even close. And what he ACTUALLY said is the exact OPPOSITE of what we might assume me MEANT to say.
Is that how it’s going to be from now on? Pennsylvanians and Americans just guessing at what it is he probably MEANT to say? That’s not fair to Americans or Pennsylvanians. The issue isn’t that he is recovering from a stroke. The issue is that the stroke has caused diminished mental capacity that make him unable to appropriately represent his state. That’s also the issue with Joe Biden. It’s not that he’s old. It’s that his age-related diminished mental capacity makes him unable to appropriately lead and represent America and her citizens.

OK, the current issue about the supreme court is the abortion decision. If the Constitution is followed, there is no right to abortion and the tenth amendment applies which leaves the issue up to the states. The same was true for women voting. Some states allowed it, some did not. The nineteenth amendment made the right for women to vote constitutional and the law of the land. Liberals know that but they also know that there would not be support for an amendment for abortion, so they went to a liberal activist court to create one out of thin air. Roe vs Wade was legislating from the bench which is clearly unconstitutional.
They just plan to do with Fetterman what they’ve been doing with Biden all along. Biden says something ridiculous, then his press secretary “give context” and “explains what he really meant.” That way, it doesn’t matter what either of them actually say; all that matters is the “clarification” that follows.
As you said in a previous post, Natalie, these guys are the Dems’ dream candidates. Not only will they vote as they’re told, the party leaders don’t have to worry about putting words in their mouths – they are literally required to put words in their mouths!
>But he is mentally incapable of getting details right, keeping things straight in his mind,
We don’t know that. All we know for sure is that he can’t express his thoughts properly.
>The issue is that the stroke has caused diminished mental capacity
Again, we don’t know that.
The problem with Fetterman is he is a socialist nutball, that should be enough to not vote for him.
