According to the Hollywood Reporter, Planned Parenthood is not happy about the new Marilyn Monroe Netflix movie, ‘Blonde.’ Basically, the abortionists at Planned Parenthood don’t like that the movie humanizes unborn babies and portrays forced abortion as traumatic to the mother. They feel this portrayal is unflattering to the pro-abortion narrative and fear it might influence people not to want to have an abortion, so they claim it’s “anti-abortion propaganda” and say it will “stigmatize people’s health care decisions.”
The movie, which is based on Joyce Carol Oates’ biographical fiction novel by the same name, has received quite a lot of criticism already, and Planned Parenthood is piling on. The movie apparently portrays Monroe as “having had two illegal abortions, which were imposed upon her against her will and which tormented her.” There is even a CGI scene of Monroe speaking to her unborn baby, who asks her, “You won’t hurt me this time, will you?” The tone of the scenes is that the abortions were extremely traumatic for Monroe, especially considering she was pressured into aborting her babies by an industry that simply wanted her to get rid of the pregnancy and get back to making them money.
This is the same thinking as all the big companies today that offer to pay travel and leave expenses for employees who live and work in states that have banned abortion. They just want their female employees to get rid of the baby so they can get back to work as fast as possible and without needing pregnancy considerations or maternity leave, from which they might not return. They don’t care about the women or the babies. They care about the money, and it’s cheaper to help employees abort their babies.

If you weren’t aware, Planned Parenthood has a full-time position titled “National Director of Arts and Entertainment Engagement.” Caren Spruch, who currently holds this position, told The Hollywood Reporter,
“While abortion is safe, essential health care, anti-abortion zealots have long contributed to abortion stigma by using medically inaccurate descriptions of fetuses and pregnancy. Andrew Dominik’s new film, Blonde, bolsters their message with a CGI-talking fetus, depicted to look like a fully formed baby. Planned Parenthood respects artistic license and freedom. However, false images only serve to reinforce misinformation and perpetuate stigma around sexual and reproductive health care. Every pregnancy outcome — especially abortion — should be portrayed sensitively, authentically and accurately in the media. We still have much work to do to ensure that everyone who has an abortion can see themselves onscreen. It is a shame that the creators of Blonde chose to contribute to anti-abortion propaganda and stigmatize people’s health care decisions instead.”
Spruch thinks that this movie does not depict abortion “sensitively, authentically and accurately.” But I would argue that depicting multiple forced abortions of unborn babies as being extremely traumatic is as sensitive, authentic, and accurate as you can get. I am very close to an older woman who was forced into an abortion more than 50 years ago, and she is still actively traumatized by it to this day. I feel that it is insensitive, inauthentic, and inaccurate to pretend like chopping up and sucking a baby out of your body is no big deal or even pretend it’s a positive thing.

“Every pregnancy outcome — especially abortion — should be portrayed sensitively, authentically and accurately in the media.” How dumb can they be? This isn’t about abortion, it’s about Monroe. It’s about her life and how she felt and what she believed. Maybe PPH doesn’t like it, but it’s not about them.
Planned Parenthood is filled with such ghoulish people! What happened to that safe and rare argument they and other pro-abortionists had when arguing to legalize abortion? Why wouldn’t they want women to fully understand the implications abortion can have on their lives and help them make the best decision? That probably explains why they seldom suggest that women opt to put their unwanted baby up for adoption rather than kill it with an abortion. Why our tax dollars are still going to this baby killing mill, I’ll never know.
Sometimes I think Democrats wholeheartedly support anything the right considers wrong. Something Christians find offensive or just plain wrong? Democrats fully support it like sexually grooming young children in our public schools instead of teaching them critical thinking! Or like this case where we think abortions are life altering for both the baby (obviously) AND the mother, Democrats want to sweep that fact under the rug. Conservatives are against big government intrusiveness in their lives? Democrats love it even if it goes against their belief system like militarizing their Democrat run city police departments while also criticizing the same police departments for being too oppressive.
I used to think the saying “liberalism is a mental disease” was eye-rolling rhetoric but now I’m fully convinced the psychiatric community should view it as a viable mental disease. It’s a mixture of narcissism and cognitive dissonance rolled into one hot mess.
