September 25, 2022Exit polls indicate that conservative populist Giorgia Meloni appears to have won Italy’s election to become the country’s first female Prime Minister, shattering a glass ceiling and exemplifying a seemingly widespread shift to the right.
Meloni is decidedly conservative, describing herself back in 2019 by saying,
“I am Giorgia, I am a woman, I am a mother, I am Italian, I am Christian. No one will take that away from me.”
She vocally opposes the LGBTQ and gender identity indoctrination movement, mass illegal immigration, and diversity quotas. Instead, she champions nuclear families, fearing God, science-based gender, and personal freedoms, and is a patriot. She’s even been called “Italy’s Trump.”
Predictably, the leftist mainstream media has labeled her “far right” and “extremist,” comparing her to Mussolini and calling her a fascist, or at least a fascist sympathizer. Because these days, anything the left doesn’t like is “fascist.”

I’m going to need their definitions of “Right” and “Left”. Yes, Mussolini was “Right” in 1930s/40s Europe, but he was loved by the FDR Administration, so (far) Left on the U.S. spectrum. And Fascism embraces state control of most aspects of your life- diametrically opposed to the U.S. Right.
Basically she would be a reasonable conservative Republican in today’s America, but would be called a dangerous far-right fascist extremist by MSNBC. Patriot, pro nuclear family, anti queer-agenda indoctrination, pro personal rights/liberties, anti mass illegal immigration, religious.
