During the congressional baseball game on Thursday night, Dem Rep. Linda Sanchez of California (obviously) flipped Republicans the bird while jogging past their dugout.

I was raised as the eldest of four kids. For the first ten years of my life, it was a house full of daughters. I, as well as both of my sisters, were taught to love sports. We all played travel soccer for years (and were pretty damn good at it). We also played tackle football in the backyard, and frequently flew down our very steep driveway on a Little Tikes tricycle with no helmet to see who could make it the farthest before flying over the handlebars. (Sorry, Mom. . .)
All this time we spent outside playing games made us very competitive, which in turn made us bilingual: English and trash talk.
So. . . while I find this middle finger to be humorous, all it really shows me is that Rep. Sanchez has no class whatsoever. Anyone with even the slightest bit of sports/competition knowledge knows that the middle finger is a last resort. It’s what you use when your well of witty insults has run dry.
I don’t know for sure if the Republicans were heckling her while she jogged by or not, but even if they were, you return the heckling with heckling of your own. It’s a crucial element to any sporting event (especially if you already know, and despise, the person).
I would say that Sanchez should hold herself to a higher standard, but she’s a Dem from California. . . It’s probably safe to say that ship has already sailed.
What makes it even more hilarious is that her team got SPANKED 10-0.

I remember when she defeated “B-1” Bob Dornan. I hope people realize what a mistake they made with Sanchez.
What makes it even funnier is that the Dems were favored to win the game! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
To be even a teensy bit fair — it looked like she was flipping-off one person in particular. Not the entire dugout. And obviously, restaurants in DC offer fantastic meals.
This is the frustration that ensues when you are supposed to field a co-ed team but no one can prove they are a man or woman because someone, probably Rep Sanchez herself, forgot to bring along a biologist.
