Is it just me, or do these Hollywood and media and magazine people have awards shows for themselves like every five minutes? They’ll find any and every excuse they can to pat each other on the back.
Cue the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, which happened this week.
They honored Maxine Waters and said that she “became a social media sensation when millennials noticed her progressive and incredibly inclusive political viewpoints.”
Inclusive? Oh millennials. Bless your hearts.
As a conservative woman raising conservative young women, I don’t find her to be inclusive at all. In fact, she’s off-putting with the repetitive chant she does. And chick needs a map (Crimea? Korea? Aleppo?).
Now, if you’re a conservative woman who leans right, is pro-life, is pro-family, who is a Republican (GASP!) – don’t bother trying to sit at this lunch table of rabid Glamour red-carpet-walkers. Because you are definitely not invited. And if you were invited by accident, and if you wear your #MAGA hat, I assure you won’t be treated with hugs and roses. Which I wouldn’t lose any sleep over, just so we’re clear (because I’d rather get a simultaneous root canal/pap smear than hang out at the Glamour Awards on my night off), but let’s face it, folks – this crowd suuuuuure doesn’t sound very inclusive and empowering to anyone but those who despise the president.
Imagine this: being a right-leaning woman who voted for Donald Trump, sitting in this room full of these rabid liberal chicks, when Maxine Waters gets up on the stage as one of the main speakers at this “Women of the Year” award. Imagine how absolutely excluded you’d feel if all these moonbats stood up and started happy chanting “IMPEACH 45! YAAAAAAAAS!“:

Seriously. WTH. One, what does this have to do with female empowerment? And two, what did Maxine do to become the Woman of the Year, precisely? Well, I’ll tell you. She’s done this chant over and over and over and over again at events around the country, while not doing what she has been paid hard-earned taxpayer money to do.
She’s an old woman pretending to be a junior high cheerleader, y’all.
Which explains why millennials must love her. Just words. No substance.
Question – What will happen if Maxine and rabid-Glamour Awards-show attendees chicks get Trump on the road to impeachment? If that hypothetically happened (HA HA HA HA), will it look anything like when (Monica serviced Bill in the Oval Office and) Bill had to go through his impeachment process? Some of us older folks lived through that, you know. Maxine did (remember that, Maxine?). Some of you young’uns out there don’t even know that happened, though, because the Clintons and Democrats have done a bang-up job of pretending that it never happened at all. The whole “I didn’t have sex with that woman” when he actually did and he actually raped a woman, too. We interviewed her, if you’re interested in that. In fact, Hillary herself has done the MOST bang-up job of pretending that all of Bill’s victims were “tramps” and “bimbos.” She called them those words herself (how’s that for supporting women, eh?). Liberals would rather have victim-blaming Hillz as president instead of Trump, because WORDS (from Trump) are more hurtful than actions (from Bill). Or something. Well, according to liberal women in 2016, anyway.
And that’s Glamour-flavored-EMPOWERMENT, y’all. It’s what it looks like to a room full of ignorant hypocrites who think a chanting old cheerleader is their savior. And to think – she makes about 200 grand a year to do this cheer ad nauseum. Bravo, California. Way to set your money on fire AGAIN.
While conservative women aren’t allowed to SIT at the liberal-cultural-table or welcome in that room, we’re business owners, executives, professionals, mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters. We’re American women representing every industry in America. Every corner of life. We comprise HALF the women in this country. And guess what? We don’t want Trump impeached. You know why? We’re too busy living our lives. We’re too busy worrying about things like the economy and healthcare and national security and taxes and education and Actual LIFE than the frikkin’ “Glamour Women of the Year” award show and watching some blowhard screech about how meeeeeean Trump is. Because we know that he has WORK TO DO.
And so do we. We finished cheering in high school. (Although I could break out the skirt and rock it, because I was the captain of my varsity squad.)
We roll our eyes so hard when we see someone who complains and chants get honored for doing just that. For crying out loud, DO YOUR JOB and get to work and make an Actual Difference. There’s a novel concept.
It’s called REAL empowerment, Glamour.
