Y’all know that Biden uses a fake White House with a fake Oval Office that was built in the Old Executive Office Building across from the real White House, right? The man’s living in his own little Truman Show.
It’s a super weird thing to have the real White House available to you, but to build and use a totally bogus White House and Oval Office with props and a stage. They even have weird digital windows that can make different scenes appear in the fake windows in the fake Oval Office in the fake White House next door to the real White House. Like blooming springtime flowers in the Rose Garden that isn’t actually outside the fake Oval Office, or leafy green trees in the middle of winter, or shipping containers in an ocean that also isn’t actually outside the fake Oval Office. It’s all totally bogus. Pretend. It’s Hollywood in DC.

Previously, excuses for this bizarre behavior have been things like that the room with the fake set is “bigger” than the actual Oval Office, or that with the real Oval Office, journalists, staff, and the President “slug your way up flights of stairs because the small elevators would hold only a limited number of people.” Very well-considered excuses. Very believable. The best ones always have some truth.
But according to Politico, the reason they have gone to such great lengths to build and use a whole fake set is because the REAL Oval Office in the REAL White House cannot be permanently equipped with a teleprompter for the President, who is mentally incapable of speaking to the public without a teleprompter showing him exactly what to say. And even then, he still messes it up very often. So, by building a fake set, they could install a permanent teleprompter and be better able to control the man supposedly running the country.
“The White House has largely abandoned using the Oval Office for press events in part because it can’t be permanently equipped with a teleprompter; Biden aides prefer the fake White House stage built in the Old Executive Office Building next door for events, sacrificing some of the power of the historic backdrop in favor of an otherwise sterile room that was outfitted with an easily read teleprompter screen.”
And on top of the ridiculous fake Oval Office, Politico, who apparently felt at least somewhat obligated to disclose the information they uncovered about the teleprompter situation, buried the information deep in an article about a potential Biden/Trump showdown in 2024 called, “A Biden-Trump rematch is increasingly likely. But neither side wants to move first.” Literally the 4th to the last paragraph of the 1500-ish-word article. They were banking on you not reading the entire article because they don’t actually want you to know this information, even though people have been discussing it for some time.
The reason Biden uses this bizarre virtual set for televised meetings—and not an actual room like East Room, Cabinet, Oval, Roosevelt, Sit Room, etc.—is because it allows him to read a script directly from a face-on monitor (& w/out teleprompter glass that can be seen on camera). https://t.co/Uc4Ly9kL7T

Politico also casually mentioned that “some allies and Democrats privately worry that Biden may not be able to handle the rigors of another campaign.” You don’t say. The man can barely handle the rigors of the stairs into Airforce One. He can barely handle the rigors of a scripted press conference in his fake Oval Office. Talk about running cover for your preferred politician.
Pro tip, always read the whole article. At least skim it. Because they like to bury the gems that they feel obligated to include but don’t actually want you to see. Tucked in paragraphs to get lost or stuck at the end because most people give up reading by then.
Y’all, seriously. This is ridiculous. I mean, does everybody realize how absolutely ridiculous this all is? The President of the United States of America is so incapable of functioning without continuous and substantial help that his handlers had to build an entire fake Oval Office so they can give him the help he requires. Y’all do realize that this man is NOT the one running the country, right? Joe Biden is a President in name only. He’s not making decisions. He’s not contributing or deciding or running anything at all. He’s just being trotted out on a stage in front of the world to be the bumbling, stumbling face of a very strange administration.
