Sen. John McCain hates President Trump with the burning rage of a thousand suns. That’s more evident with every passing day. And look– I understand that he’s tired. I know he’s battling brain cancer, which is EXACTLY why he should retire already. Stop fighting with Trump. Stop blocking legislation just for the heck of it. Stop snapping at reporters. Go home. Spend time with your family.
He’s not. In fact, he’s doubling down. During an interview on C-SPAN3, McCain decided to take a shot at Trump for avoiding the draft.
“One aspect of the (Vietnam) conflict by the way that I will never ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America and the highest income level found a doctor that would say that they had a bone spur,” McCain said. “That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”
McCain didn’t name him, but Trump had five draft deferments during the Vietnam War. One of those was for bone spurs in his feet.

UGH. Why is he doing this? What does this have to do with anything? Doesn’t he have another health care bill to block or something?
This shouldn’t even need to be stated, but OBVIOUSLY we’re grateful for McCain’s service to the country. We’re simply asking that he GO HOME AND STOP LEGISLATING now.
At this point, he’s deliberately trying to poke Trump, and Trump’s eventually going to hit him back.
