Rep. Pelosi Is Losing Her Mind Over President Trump’s Transgender Military Policy

President Trump made a pretty big announcement on transgender military policy Wednesday morning.

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you,” Trump’s full statement read.

He also tweeted about it, because of course.

Everyone is freaking out. Liberals are accusing the Trump administration of discriminating against trans people and blah blah blah.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The military isn’t a social experiment. This has nothing to do with “hating” trans individuals or viewing them as “less human” or whatever the heck the left believes we think about them. This is the military we’re talking about. There’s no room for politically correct nonsense. If you can’t deal, then the military’s not for you.

Such a simple concept!

Jokes aside (although it’s not really a joke and more of a scientific fact that the so called “party of science” flat out rejects), this is a common sense policy. As it is, there are already various medical issues– physical AND mental– that can prevent an individual from enlisting. (You can read more about those here.) Are we discriminating against those people too?

Rep. Nancy Pelosi doesn’t want to talk about that. She’s rather post her nonsensical ramblings on Twitter.

Liberals are the only people hating here. Go ahead and “be your true self,” but DO NOT expect the military to accommodate. It has no obligation to do so.

In addition, Pelosi released a formal statement.

“On this very day in 1948, President Harry Truman signed the executive order desegregating the U.S. military. Sixty-nine years later, President Trump has chosen this day to unleash a vile and hateful agenda that will blindside thousands of patriotic Americans already serving with honor and bravery.

 

“It is a cruel and arbitrary decision designed to humiliate transgender Americans who stepped forward to serve our country. A study commissioned by the Department of Defense found that the cost of providing medically necessary transition-related care would be a paltry 2 to 8 million dollars per year – one one-hundredth of one percent of the military’s nearly $50 billion health care budget.

 

“This morning’s tweets reveal a President with no loyalty to the courageous men and women in uniform who risk their lives to defend our freedoms. This disgusting ban will weaken our military and the nation it defends. Once again, President Trump has shown his conduct is driven not by honor, decency, or national security, but by raw prejudice. This is a dark day for thousands of heroes in our military and for our entire country.”

Expecting the military to focus on the mission and not political correctness = implementing a vile and hateful agenda. Got it. Also, I love how Pelosi refers to the cost of transition-related care a “paltry 2 to 8 million dollars per year.” PALTRY. It’s totally paltry. Nothin’. Pennies, really.

Please add this to the ongoing list of reasons Pelosi needed to retire yesterday.
