So we’ve been sort of tip-toeing around the whole “Democrats are ignoring Tara Reade because she’s politically inconvenient” thing, because it’s important to give people a chance to do the right thing before jumping to conclusions. Well, I’m ready to jump. In fact, we all should be.
It started with the Twitter masses. From randos like Sandy Knauer:
Joe Biden could rape ME in the middle of Fifth Avenue and I would still vote for him before I would vote for Trump or Sanders. #ForReal #StopTheStupid #

Then grew to actual Vessels of Utter Feces and All Things Loathsome Lisa Bloom (an attorney who advised Harvey Weinstein, represented accusers of Bill O’Reilly, and had the sheer gall to tweet this load of bull poop):
I believe you, Tara Reade.
You have people who remember you told them about this decades ago.
We know he is "handsy."
You're not asking for $.
You've obviously struggled mightily with this.
I still have to fight Trump, so I will still support Joe.
But I believe you. And I'm sorry https://t.co/eMUBrkkVFE— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) May 1, 2020
Democrats have been more than willing to flout their supposed values in favor of designating a tragically cognitively-challenged geriatric career politician because he might be able to beat Donald Trump in November.
But now that even journalists are shedding their disguise as impartial reporters, it’s official: There is no moral consistency on the left.
Martin Tolchin, a 91-year-old journalist who’s so influential he doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page (while, and please excuse my humblebrag, my German host dad does), weighed in on Tara Reade’s accusation and pretty much confirmed everything we suspected.
The New York Times Editorial Board called on the Democratic National Committee to investigate Biden in an “unbiased” and “apolitical” manner — a move that was widely mocked by others in the media.
Journalist Martin Tolchin responded to the op-ed by essentially saying that he did not want the truth to come out because it was more important that the Democrats beat President Donald Trump and any investigation into Biden could derail Democrats’ chances.
Tolchin wrote:
I totally disagree with this editorial. I don’t want an investigation. I want a coronation of Joe Biden. Would he make a great president? Unlikely. Would he make a good president? Good enough. Would he make a better president than the present occupant? Absolutely. I don’t want justice, whatever that may be. I want a win, the removal of Donald Trump from office, and Mr. Biden is our best chance.
Suppose an investigation reveals damaging information concerning his relationship with Tara Reade or something else, and Mr. Biden loses the nomination to Senator Bernie Sanders or someone else with a minimal chance of defeating Mr. Trump. Should we really risk the possibility?

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Joe Biden’s base. This is the level of integrity we can expect from anyone left of center. And if it’s not, then Democrats have an ENORMOUS responsibility to step up, be loud, and renounce this absolute f*ckwad piece of sh*t TWAT for the human yeast infection he is.
These people are whipped into such a horrendous frenzy that they would be willing to protect an ACTUAL RAPIST* than have Donald Trump win another term as president.
No, we don’t know if Biden sexually assaulted a woman. But Tolchin has made it clear that it’s irrelevant–despite all the moral outrage over Trump’s sexist comments way back when.
I don’t have any jokes to make. I’m just disgusted. Democrats–and the mainstream media in particular–the ball is in your court. This is your chance to either do what’s right (or at the very least, be morally consistent) or prove once and for all that there is no set standard for behavior by your measures. Either all sexual assault is bad, or you’re damn hypocrites. Pick one.
