Bombshell: Project Veritas Releases Undercover Video Exposing Bias of ABC News

Project Veritas has posted another bombshell undercover video.  This time, they have exposed the bias of ABC Correspondent David Wright.

David Wright admits to being a socialist in the undercover video.  He is very clear that he is not a “Democratic Socialist”.  He doesn’t need to deceptively pretty-up his socialism, unlike others.  Bernie!

He says that voters are poorly informed.  Well, if that is the case, a lot of that has to do with all the biased news out there.

Wright views his job is to, “speak truth to power and hold people to account”.  How about just reporting the news?

People in the business of news should REPORT news.  They should report, without agenda or bias.  If ABC and others would simply report news truthfully, then the people will be able to hold the powerful to account.

As it is now, the mainstream news outlets seem to only hold conservatives accountable.  And even then, the news about Republicans and conservatives is oftentimes distorted and not truthful or accurate.

Wright also admits, “Fake news abounds.  There are problems with the truth these days.”  The problem is not with the truth itself David.  The problem is with the supposed “journalists” these days.

Wright also criticized ABC as being a marketing and self-promotion company even in regard to their news division.

“The commercial imperative is incompatible with news”.  He also laughably asserted that Donald Trump is not held to account.  Is he high?  The news coverage on Trump has been negative since day one.  It has been unrelenting!

In fairness, Wright also admitted they don’t give Donald Trump credit for the good things he does.

Speaking of the major broadcast networks, he said,

And we recognize that we are dinosaurs and we’re in danger of dying. We’re not disciplined enough to cut him (Trump) off.  And we second guess ourselves because we’re sensitive to the accusation that, you know, we’re in the tank for the Democrats.  And so that enables him.  And so we enable him (Trump).  And it feels like every time we take the bait on the outrage we enable him.  He’s (Trump) the nightmare spouse.  You can’t win an argument with.

The undercover journalist asked Wright, “Why don’t you like him (Trump)?”  Wright replied, “Because he’s a dick.”

Gee, I can’t imagine why people would think you’re in the tank for the Democrats.  So puzzling.   Do you think any bias seeps into what Wright reports?  Or, better yet, what he doesn’t report?

ABC Responds

ABC has quickly responded to the video and has already suspended Wright.  This is not surprising, since not only was Wright’s bias exposed, but he also spent a fair amount of time ripping on his employer.  Notably, he is not being fired, but will likely get really crappy assignments in the future.

In their statement, ABC said,

Any action that damages our reputation for fairness and impartiality or gives the appearance of compromising it harms ABC News and the individuals involved.  David Wright has been suspended, and to avoid any possible appearance of bias, he will be reassigned away from political coverage when he returns.
