Because nothing screams female empowerment than shaking your booty and suggestively dancing with a stripper pole.
I mean, is that all I have to do? I don’t want to, but goodness, look at all the eyes!
Totally worth it.
Only kidding. Please punch me in the face if that’s a mentality I ever actually commit to.
It’s just ironic how female empowerment suggests, “We’re more than sexual objects! Lemme show you with my … *drum roll*… stripper pole skills!”
The Daily Wire reported:
The hype leading up to this year’s Super Bowl was all about women empowerment, from admirable soccer stars appearing in a Secret deodorant ad to San Francisco 49ers’ Katie Sowers being the first woman to coach in the NFL’s biggest game. As one USA Today column excitedly put it, “Watch and see how women are taking control of the Super Bowl.”
The bar for standards of ‘female empowerment’ and ‘taking control’ is pretty low. I don’t think anyone would win that game of limbo.
Is the bar the empowerment being set off in men’s pants?
More from The Daily Wire:
Apparently, women empowerment includes a scantily clad, vagina-touching 50-year-old woman performing a routine on a stripper pole for the entire nation to view (as her boyfriend cheers her on).
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are extraordinarily beautiful women… who definitely don’t look their age. They also don’t get very winded up there. I, on the other hand, get winded going up the flight of stairs to my apartment. So, good for them. However, being scanty and sexual for the entire world to see isn’t impressive.
The Daily Wire continued:
Shakira kicked-off the show with her famous hip work, but it was Lopez who made her look modest, starting out her set on a stripper pole, and at one time seemingly touching her vagina in a suggestive manner.
Oooof. Now that’s going to be an awkward conversation on the car ride home with the kiddos. Perhaps just in the living room, considering the Super Bowl is usually a family event… with children and such.
Don’t let these shows fool ya, kids! The price of the pole often ends up being cheaper than the show. You’ll understand when you’re older.
