Breaking: Sally Field Arrested.

Yup.  Sally Field has been arrested in DC, according to this.

73 year old Sally Field, who you may know from such things as Smokey and The Bandit, and Norma Rae and Steel Magnolias, and like a zillion other movies, decided to pull herself a Jane Fonda and get herself arrested protesting about climate change today.

And because she’s OH SO BRAVE, she spoke to supporters in the rain, shielded by an umbrella, and saying OH SO BOLDLY:

“I come with my heart and my voice. I am a mother. I am a grandmother. The time is now! We cannot sit back in our comfort zones on our couches, and wonder, ‘What can we do?’ We can get out. We can do something in the rain, whatever it takes. I’ve been learning. I have been trying to learn. I, like everyone else, feel this is such a big problem. How can we ever accomplish anything? But we can!”

So stunning.  So brave.
