Trump communications aide Omarosa Manigault recently got into a heated argument with April Ryan, a reporter for American Urban Radio Networks. Long story short, Ryan accused Omarosa of instructing Sean Spicer to ignore her (Ryan) during daily briefings and said Omarosa “physically intimidated” her.
“She stood right in my face like she was going to hit me,” Ryan said. “I said, ‘You better back up.’ …She thought I would be bullied. I won’t be.”
But Omarosa said that wasn’t the case and was determined to prove it. Another staffer taped the confrontation, and Omarosa shared it with other reporters.
“She came in hot. She came in with an attitude,” Omarosa said. “For her to characterize me as the bully – I’m so glad we have this tape … because it’s ‘liar, liar, pants on fire.'”
“I didn’t know she was taping it,” Ryan said. “This is about her trying to smear my name. This is freaking Nixonian.”
“She wants to spin it like it’s a catfight, but she edited that tape,” she added. “You don’t hear her screaming. This is about her smearing me.”
In the tape, Ryan can be heard saying Omarosa has “got a problem.”
“She has the bad reputation. I don’t,” Ryan said.
“Oh, you do,” Omarosa shot back. “You are paid by the Clintons.”
OUCH.
“Keep reporting that and you’ll see how you get sued when it’s proven that I am not,” Ryan said. “Girl, I’ve been doing this 20 years. I’ve been here 30 years.”
“Call the Clintons, they’ll take care of you girl,” Omarosa said, to which Ryan responded, “I will!”
In case you haven’t already figured this out, this conversation completely descended into high school territory. Apparently, Omarosa asked Ryan to be a bridesmaid in her wedding months ago, and Ryan declined. So obviously, Ryan brought that up.
“I will never be in your wedding,” Ryan told Omarosa.
“Girl please,” Omarosa said.
“I still have the email where you begged for me to be in your wedding,” Ryan said.
“Girl bye,” Omarosa replied. “Bye friend.”
“You turned on me,” Ryan said.
So basically, Ryan is mad because Omarosa questioned her integrity and released the tape in the first place.
“She’s stupid. This is how she dumb is,” Ryan told CNN. “She’s a bully.”
Yep. High school. We’re definitely in high school.
