Alec Baldwin Decides To Make A Political Statement After Carrie Fisher’s Death

Alec Baldwin is an insufferable tool. I just want that stated for the record.

Yesterday and this morning, tributes and condolences poured out from all areas in honor of Carrie Fisher, who passed away yesterday morning. I admit, I’m still reeling from the news. But it has been nice to see people remembering her – both as Princess Leia, and for her comedic wit and humor. Her life and death is one of those things that transcends politics and all those other stupid lines that we humans divide ourselves along.

And then you have a moron like Alec Baldwin come in and spoil the moment –

Ha ha – see, it’s funny because George Michael died, then Carrie Fisher died, and the left wants to think that the integrity of American leadership is going to die too!

Too bad the integrity of the Oval Office has been dead for decades – I would contend it died during LBJ’s term. A few brave souls have tried to resurrect it since then, but it’s pretty much gone. Eight years of Obama certainly didn’t do it any favors.

(Also – Does anyone want to tell Alec that Richard Adams, the author of Watership Down, died yesterday too? I think that could be considered the “third” in this situation.)

Look, I doubt there was much that Carrie Fisher and I could agree with politically – but the dirty little secret is that politics doesn’t have to run your life. It certainly doesn’t have to rule your entertainment choices or artists that you like. A lot of conservatives get it. I can’t for the life of me figure out why it has to be a breaking point for progressives and the left.

Just goes to show that EVERYTHING is political for rabid leftists. Even the passing of someone who a lot of people looked up to and admired.
